The Georgia Symphony Orchestra Chorus, under the Direction of Dr. Bryan Black, and the Uzee Brown Society of Choraliers, under the direction of Dr. Uzee Brown, will embark on a combined international concert tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland in June, 2025.  The concept of this concert tour evolved out of considerations among the directors and leadership of the choruses that throughout the world there are adversities, wars and division that too often emphasize those things that make mankind different, rather than lifting up those things that spring forth as common conditions throughout the whole of humankind.  Therefore, the purpose of this concert tour will be to spread a general philosophy and enduring message of fellowship and unity through the power of music, no matter the cultural, ethnic, socio-economic or racial background of performers or audience.
This concert tour evolved as a result of performances by the combined choirs in diverse concert settings throughout Metropolitan Atlanta, Cobb County and Fulton County that included churches, academic institutions, and performance halls that captured the attendance of demographically diverse concert-goers.  Several previous performances included orchestra, and all performances were extremely well received.

The UK concerts will include selections from the repertoire of each choral group, as well as repertoire from the combined choirs.  There was, and still remains, a palpable joy among members of these two exceptional performance groups, as performers, young and old, black, white, rich and poor, come together to sing, share a meal and fellowship with each other.  The repertoire of these groups also offers universal messages with common themes of hope, joy, trials and aspirations that are shared at some level throughout humanity.  The music is both sacred and secular and includes songs of jubilation and celebration.  In short, these two performance groups offer something musical that will appeal to the tastes and aural sensibilities of all who experience their rich and exciting music!
