Glass Door Sleep Out 2024
Friday 4th October from 9pm
Father Tim is putting together a St Mary Abbots team to take part in the Glass Door sleep out on Friday 4th October 2024.

This is the annual, flagship fundraising event for Glass Door homeless Charity which plays a huge role in keeping the charity going - last year they raised a total of £100k.

 Glass Door provides people with a chance to eat meals, find clothes, take a shower and wash laundry – things we take for granted.  They offer three main services:
  • emergency shelter for 105 people per night
  • Hot meals given out to homeless people 7 days a week
  • Providing caseworkers who offer advice and practical help
​Since 2005 the number of people sleeping rough has tripled. People become homeless though a myriad of reasons:  loss of job, domestic violence, mental illness, relationship breakdown or death, eviction, cuts to benefits and lack council housing. It could happen to any of us.   ​
