Electoral Roll
One of the many great strengths of the Church of England is its system of governance, from the parish level to General Synod. At the parish level, the Electoral Roll ensures that members of a church can shape the local mission and ministry by electing the officers necessary to do that hard work. Being on our Church Electoral Roll does not make you a member of our Church; simply regarding St Mary Abbots church as your spiritual home does that. In fact, a condition of joining our Roll is that you are already a member of our Church. If you are eligible please do enrol, and to take a full part in the important administrative work of our Church, as well as our mission and ministry.

The Electoral Roll is the register of electors for a parish. In the same way that being on the civic Electoral Roll allows members of that roll to vote in parliamentary and local elections and referenda, joining the Church Electoral Roll means that people can vote on Church matters, attend the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) and stand for election to the Parochial Church Council (PCC).
You are eligible to become a voting member of St Mary Abbots if you have been baptised, are sixteen or over and a member of the Church of England** and live in the parish. However, if you do not live in the parish, but meet the other criteria and have regularly attended services in the parish of St Mary Abbots during the previous of six months, you are also eligible.
If you would like to join our official congregation you can find a form HERE. Please complete the form using block capitals, ticking the appropriate boxes and add your signature and date. There is an explanation as to how to fill in the form above, or you can ask a member of the clergy.
You can either post it to: The Electoral Roll Officer, The Parish Office, St Mary Abbots Centre, Vicarage Gate, London, W8 4HN or email it HERE.

**The phrase "member of the Church of England" means:
- Member of the Church of England
- Member of a Church in communion with the Church of England. The only Churches at present in communion with the Church of England are other Anglican Churches (excepting the so-calledAnglican continuing Churches in North America) and some other foreign churchs.
- Member of a Church not in communion with the Church of England but which subscribes to the doctrine of the Holy Trinity; you must be prepared to also declare yourself a member of the Church of England. This category includes other Protestant denominations such as Moravian, Methodist, Presbyterian and Baptist, as well as Roman Catholic, URC, Russian/Greek Orthodox etc.
