Glass Door is a charity for homeless people which covers the West and South West of London.   We support them by putting together teams for their fundraising events such as their Autumn Sleepout or Spring London Walk, as seen in the images below.

Glass Door offers three main services:
  • Single rooms with hostel like accommodation, providing meals and 24 hour supervision
  • Hot meals given out to homeless people 7 days a week,
  • Providing caseworkers who offer advice and practical help.

Since 2005 the number of people sleeping rough has tripled. People become homeless though a myriad of reasons:  loss of job, domestic violence, mental illness, relationship breakdown or death, eviction, cuts to benefits and lack council housing. It could happen to any of us.   Glass Door provides people with a chance to eat meals, find clothes, take a shower and wash laundry – things we take for granted.

Unite for the night to End Homelessness
Sleep Out with Glass Door Homeless Charity at Duke of York SquareSleep Out is Glass Door Homeless Charity's biggest fundraising event of the year, taking place at Duke of York Square in Chelsea.

At Sleep Out, they ask participants to give up their beds for one night to reflect on their guests' experiences of homelessness.

Last year, we raised an incredible £9,461, which supported Glass Door Homeless Charity to run their Winter Night Shelters and find more stable housing for 373 guests since June last year.

We’re inviting you to unite for the night to:
  • Take action by supporting a local homeless charity and inspire your community
  • Speak with frontline workers to learn about the realities faced by those experiencing homelessness and what we’re doing about it
  • Pray together with family and friends for those affected by homelessness in our city
  • Experience a small act of solidarity by giving up your beds for one night
You can read more about what to expect on the night here. Children are welcome to join, however, we kindly ask that young people aged 13-16 are supervised by a guardian 18+ at all times.

Sleep Out does not aim to replicate homelessness – but by taking part, you’re sending a powerful message of solidarity with London’s rough sleepers and bringing attention to the many challenges that come with sleeping on the cold streets.
Thank you for caring about homelessness in London.

Please contact Father Tim to find out more or join the team HERE.
